The "Making A Difference" ("M.A.D") Scholarship Fund was founded in 2019 as a way to assist college-enrolled residents who show strong academic success and involvement in extracurricular activities. Created with a personal donation of $1,000 by CHA Director of Housing Operations, Norman Wise, one recipient was awarded a college scholarship during the inaugural year. In 2020, the scholarship fund received donations from various CHA vendors which allowed CHA to expand the program and award three scholarships to deserving students.
