Dozens of Chester children and their families enjoyed festivities Friday evening (Dec. 15) during a holiday event hosted by the Chester Housing Authority (CHA), which took place at the Booker T. Washington Entrepreneur and Innovation Center on Central Ave.
Attendees were treated to a meal of cornbread, chicken, fruit, macaroni and cheese, snack trays, and desserts.
Santa Claus was there to greet the children, and gifts were distributed to each child, compliments of St. Luke’s Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall.
“It is always wonderful when our employees and a large group of residents gather together to make an event like this happen,” said CHA Executive Director Steven Fischer. “We have been hosting this holiday evening for more than 20 years, and each year just keeps on getting better and better.
