Giving Thanks in 2025 at the Second Annual Turkey Giveawa
On Saturday, November 15th, Chester Housing Authority (CHA) partnered with Savvy Homecare, the City of Chester, and Keystone First for 2025’s Turkey Giveaway.
Together, staff members from each sponsoring organization distributed around 200 turkeys. Attendees were able to receive a turkey, learn about health resources, and enjoy free snacks and beverages. Chester City’s Councilwoman Tameka Gibson, an organizer on behalf of the city, attended the event to share in the seasonal spirit and connect with the local community.
Representatives from Savvy Homecare — a home care services provider that works with residents of Delaware County, Chester County, Philadelphia County, and Montgomery County — also staffed the giveaway and offered additional information about their services.
Local residents also connected with representatives from Keystone First — Pennsylvania’s largest medical assistance (Medicaid) managed healthcare plan — to learn more about how to get care and build healthy communities. In addition to getting more information, they also were able to fill a drawstring bag with Keystone First-branded items, such as water bottles and pens.
CHA was grateful to work with the local city government and these organizations to support our community during this holiday season. We look forward to continuing this tradition next year.
